Finnish Japanese Society (SJY) is a friendship society between Finland and Japan, whose purpose is to inspire interchange between Finnish and Japanese people, and promote their mutual cultural understanding and interchange. The Society is an active organizer of events, lectures, and festivals, and engages in information and publishing activities.

The annual membership fee is 25 euros for individual members. Some of the Society’s events are open to members only. Members have an advance booking privilege and a membership discount and receive annually four membership magazines.
